Mount Pleasant Hospital is an 85-bed, full-service hospital set to open November 1 at Highway 17 and Faison Road adjacent to Wando High School in northern Mount Pleasant. The Womenâ€™s Center, which has a dedicated first floor entrance, will include seven labor and delivery rooms, 11 postpartum rooms and a state-of-art nursery.

Singing drummer and ringleader Fred LeBlanc and his New Orleans band return behind a live DVD shot at the legendary Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles called The Name of the Band is Cowboy Mouth and a 12-song collection of rockers and anthems titled Fearless. Austin, Texas-based singer/guitarist Junior Brown — the master of the twangy "guitsteel" — opens at 8 p.m.

Drummer Ed Livengood and guitarist Amber Valentine first performed as a rock duo in 1995 at a backyard keg party in Athens, Ga. 15 years later, they're signed to a major label, touring the country in a huge RV, performing in cool clubs and music halls with an oversized blue-acrylic drum kit and a "wall of sound" comprised of bass cabinets and over 20 guitar amps. Yikes. Jucifer return to the Village Tavern in support of their recent album L'Autrichienne (Relapse/Alternative Tentacles). 9 p.m.

Spoleto will celebrate its 30th anniversary at this year's La Dolce Vita auction. Proceeds of the event will benefit the Spoleto Festival USA Orchestra. The silent auction will begin at 7 p.m. and will feature a sumptuous hors d'oeuvres buffet and cocktail bar. Champagne and gourmet sweets will be offered during the live auction beginning at 8:30 p.m.

Her witty, wry accompanist, Cosme McMoon, chronicles Florence's unlikely rise to cult status, which culminated in an infamous sold-out Carnegie Hall performance in October 1944.
